PROGRESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / PROGRESS DEVELOPMENT TEAM MANAGER / RETAIL / WHOLESALE / PROGRESS TEAM MANAGER
One of the UK's most successful Blue ChipRetail & Wholesale Distribution organisations is currently on the look out for a Progress Development Manager to manager a Team of Progress Developers across Business Critical Technical Specifications developing a large number Software Packages.
You will be responsible for managing one of the Progress Development Teams in terms ofOrganisation, Development & Motivation to manage the Provision of Third Line Support to the IT Operations Team.
Main Duties &Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance of the Team resource plan and allocation of work within the Development team to ensure that all project work is completed to agreed time-scales and budgets.
2. Implementation Development Methodology & Standards within the Development Team.
3. Quality Assurance of Progress Technical Designs produced by Development Team: including Design, Consistency with Systems, Performance & Security.
4. Ensuring all Software delivered by the Development Team is of a consistently High Standard.
5. Providing Personal Development to all members of the Development team.
6. Manage provision of Third Line Support Service for Progress Applications to IT Operations. Service.
Key Skills & Experience required:
1. Degree Educated preferably but not essential.
2. Broad Progress Programming Experience (GUI, CHUI, Smart Objects).
3. Experience of Managing a Development Team across Multiple Projects.
4. Strong Communications Skills
5. High Level of Commitment
